Filip Forsberg and Roman Josi each scored power-play goals, Matt Duchene had a three-point night (1G, 2A), and Mikael Granlund scored an empty-netter, while Kevin Lankinen stopped a career-high 48 shots for the win.
Mathew Barzal scored a power-play goal in a losing effort for the Islanders, who put a season-high 49 shots on goal.
The loss was the Islanders second straight overall, second to the Predators this season and extended their winless streak vs Nashville to nine games (0-7-2).
