"We're kind of a foreign team for everyone, because we're from the east and we're a U.S. team. We're here to win. We're not just here to be a participant," Jr. Isles head coach and midget director Bob Thornton told the Calgary Sun. "So if we win it, we'll be very happy. We've won two tournaments already this year back east, and we're here as an experienced team."
Spence Evans leads the team in scoring with five assists in four round-robin games.
The Mac's tournament featured 25 teams from across the United States, Canada as well as Belarus.
