Isles Day-to-Day: Cizikas on IR

Casey Cizikas (lower body) was placed on injured reserve retroactive to Nov. 25.
Cizikas has missed two straight games since slamming hard into the end boards during last Saturday's contest against the Ottawa Senators. Anthony Beauvillier has assumed Cizikas' role as the team's fourth-line center over that span.
The Islanders embark on a four-game road trip starting with back-to-back games against Florida and Tampa Bay on Monday and Tuesday. Cizikas' IR designation opens up a spot on the active roster and allows the team to call up an extra forward from the Bridgeport Sound Tigers for the road trip, though no announcement has been made.
