I began teaching 31 years ago in a Kindergarten classroom. A few years later I moved up to teaching sixth grade for 14 years. I have also spent time in second grade and the grade I have currently been teaching is fifth grade. I absolutely love working with my students, and the upper elementary level is my favorite! They are inquisitive, eager to learn, and begin to take on more responsibilities with support and encouragement.
What is your favorite part of the Future Goals™ program? How do you see STEM in the game of hockey?
Future Goals challenges students using an engaging platform that uses real-life examples in the sports world to understand area, apply knowledge of geometric figures, and understand the basics of physics.
Who is your favorite NHL® player and why?
Currently I enjoy watching the skill and performance of Mathew Barzal. However, I have been an Islanders fan since the 1980s and Bryan Trottier was one of my favorite players.
If you played hockey, what position would you play and why?
I would rather be a goal scorer if I had the talent, so I would definitely say offense.
