Bellows

The New York Islanders announced today that forward Kieffer Bellows has signed a one-year contract.
Bellows has played in 67 games for the Islanders over the course of three seasons, scoring 11 goals and 14 assists for 25 points. The Edina, Minnesota native has also played in 125 career American Hockey League games, scoring 50 points (34 goals and 16 assists) with the Islanders affiliate in Bridgeport.

He spent the 2017-18 season with the Portland Winterhawks in the Western Hockey League where he averaged well over a point-per-game with 74 (41 goals and 33 assists) in 56 games. Bellows attended Boston University in 2016-17 and scored 14 points (seven goals and seven assists) in 34 games.
Internationally, Bellows has competed for Team USA at several tournaments, including the World Junior Championship in 2017 (gold medal) and 2018 (bronze medal). In 2018, he set a World Junior Championship record for 9 goals in a single tournament while ranking third in points (10). Bellows was also selected to Team USA's World Championship team that competed in Finland this past summer.
