QUENNEVILLE PICKS UP THREE POINTS LAST WEEK:

David Quenneville picked up three more points (1G, 2A) in four games last week for the Medicine Hat Tigers. Quenneville was named the second star on Tuesday after assisting on two goals in Medicine Hat's 5-4 loss to the Moose Jaw Warriors. Quenneville's goal on Wednesday in a 5-4 shootout win against the Prince Albert Raiders, put him in double digits for goals this season. Quenneville was held pointless in an 4-3 overtime loss to Brandon on Friday and a 4-2 loss to Regina on Saturday.
The Islanders' 2016 seventh-round pick now has 34 points (10G, 24A) in 30 games this season, moving up in the ranks to fourth among WHL defensemen.

BELLOWS NAMED TO TEAM USA PRELIMINARY ROSTER

Kieffer Bellows was one of 28 players named to Team USA's preliminary roster on Dec. 5 for the upcoming 2018 World Junior Hockey Championships in Buffalo.
Bellows won a gold medal with Team USA at the 2017 World Juniors, scoring twice in the 5-4 shootout win over Team Canada. The Islanders' 2016 first-round pick (19th overall) is one of seven players returning from the gold squad. Bellows had three points (2G, 1A) in seven games at last year's tournament.
This year's tournament starts Dec. 26 and runs through Jan. 5.
Bellows is currently in his first season with the WHL's Portland Winterhawks, playing in the Canadian junior league after a season at Boston University. Bellows has 38 points (18G, 20A) in 30 games with Portland this season.
