Quenneville Keeps Producing for Tigers

David Quenneville, the Islanders 2016 seventh-round pick, continues to lead all Western Hockey League defenseman in points with 38 (16G, 22A).
This week, the Edmonton, AB native recorded his second multi-goal game of the season in Medicine Hat's Friday's 3-2 loss to Lethbridge on his way to being the named the second star of the game. Quenneville added two helpers in the Tigers' 7-4 win over Calgary.
In his 31 games this season with Medicine Hat, Quenneville has only been held of the score sheet seven times while recording 12 multi-point games.

Vande Sompel leading Oshawa to Top of the Eastern Conference

Mitchell Vande Sompel continued his scoring tear this week, recording three points (2G, 1A) in three games with the Oshawa Generals of the Ontario Hockey League. The London, ON native's 13 goals leads OHL defensemen.
Vande Sompel recorded one goal, one assist and named the No. 1 star of the games on the Generals 6-3 loss to the Saginaw Spirit on Sunday.
Through 28 games, the four-year OHL veteran has set a career-high in goals & game-winning goals.

Mavericks Go 1-2-1 Last Week:

Missouri Mavericks: 9-11-4, 22 points, 5th in Mountain Division, 10th in Western Conference
The Missouri Mavericks went 1-2-1 last week, picking up a 3-2 win over the Tulsa Oilers on Friday night, while dropping games to Allen, Tulsa and Wichita.
The Mavericks started their week with a 4-1 road loss in Allen, before rebounding with a 3-2 win over Tulsa on Friday. Missouri trailed 2-0 in the first period, but scored three unanswered goals in the second period, grinding out the road win. The teams rematched on Saturday in Missouri, but the Mavs fell in a seven-round shootout losing to the Oilers 3-2.
Missouri wrapped their weekend with a 4-3 loss to the Wichita Thunder, but not before attempting a gutsy comeback. Trailing 4-1 entering the third, the Mavericks scored a pair of quick goals, but could not force OT.
The Mavericks are 9-11-4 heading into a pair of home games against the Alaska Aces on Friday and Saturday.
