Jefferies also dished out two assists in Friday's victory, paving the way for his seventh multi-point performance of the season. The 21-year-old winger also had the lone goal in Merrimack's 2-1 loss to Vermont on Saturday.
Through 27 games of his junior season, Jefferies has 31 points (10G, 21A) for Merrimack, who are tied with Northeastern for second in Hockey East with 34 points.

MAGGIO CLAIMS POINTS-LEADER TITLE IN THE OHL

Matt Maggio's 68th point of the season on Sunday launched him into first place in the Ontario Hockey League in points over the weekend.

For the second time this season, the Islanders 2022 fifth round draft pick (142nd overall) posted a four-point performance for the Windsor Spitfires, in a 9-4 win against the Soo Greyhounds in an afternoon scuffle on Sunday. Maggio also recorded his 35th goal of the season in the victory and took a team-high seven shots.

Maggio is riding a nine-game point streak with 17 points (7G, 10A) over that span. The 20-year-old winger was only kept off the scoresheet six times this season, through 43 games played.
After a three-game winless skid, the Spitfires (62 points) are still in first place in the eastern conference with a record of 29-12-3-1.

BERG'S BIG BIRTHDAY WEEKEND

Cameron Berg played a major offensive role in Omaha's 2-0 shutout victory over the Michigan Broncos on Saturday, picking up a goal and an assist, all on the day before his 21st birthday.
The Islanders 2021 fourth round draft pick (125th overall) recorded his fourth multi-point game of the season on Saturday, starting with an assist on the opening goal for the Mavericks in the second frame on the power play. Berg extended the lead with a one-timer with the man advantage, marking his fourth power play goal of the season.

The Minnesota native has 14 points (7G, 7A) through 26 games this season, one goal shy of tying last year's season-high eight goals.
Omaha has an overall record of 14-10-2 in the NCAA with a record of 9-6-1 in their conference, placing second in the NCHC with 30 points.
