Morning Skate Updates: Islanders vs. Oilers

The New York Islanders are set to face off against the Edmonton Oilers on Saturday night at 7 p.m. (MSG+,AM 570 WMCA,88.7 WRHU, WRCN 103.9 FM).
The Islanders held morning skate on Saturday at Northwell Health Ice Center where Jack Capuano announced his lineup and addressed the media. Keep reading for news, notes and quotes from morning skate. Read the Game Preview here.

The Lineup:

Jaroslav Halak will start in goal for the Islanders on Saturday, while Anthony Beauvillier draws back into the lineup taking out Alan Quine.

Beauvillier Playing in 10th Game:

Anthony Beauvillier will play in his 10th game of the season on Saturday, triggering the first year of his entry-level contract. That's an indication that the Islanders plan to keep the rookie for the remainder of the season. If the 19 year-old forward is sent back to Shawinigan at any time, the Islanders will have already used the first year of his contract.

Jack Capuano on Anthony Beauvillier:

"Just play the same way, he's played extremely well for us all season as a young player. He's done a great job and continue to play with pace and continue to do the things he's done since training camp to earn a spot on our roster."

Dennis Seidenberg Leading Islanders Defense in Goals:

Newly-acquired defenseman Dennis Seidenberg currently leads all Islanders blueliners with four goals, good for second on the team and tied for second among all NHL d-men (one shy of Arizona's Oliver Ekman-Larsson). Just 11 games into the season, the German-born defenseman is only three goals shy of his NHL career-high set in 2010-11.
"You shoot pucks and sometimes they go in and sometimes they don't," Seidenberg said. "It's been a lucky stretch that I've had."

The Islanders have goals from a defensemen in seven straight games and currently lead the league in goals by a defenseman with 11.
"We are all being encouraged to join the rush and jump up offensively so I've taken that to heart and tried my best to do that," Seidenberg said. "Some of it has been luck, but you have to work for luck sometimes. Right now it's working."
