Talk about putting the four in Dufour.
William Dufour scored four goals on Saturday, leading the Saint John Sea Dogs to a 5-3 win over the Shawinigan Cataractes in the round-robin finale of the Memorial Cup.
Down 3-0 after the first period, Dufour ignited the comeback, recording a hat trick in a span of 6:36 in the second period to tie the score. Jérémie Poirier scored the eventual winner late in the second period, but Dufour wasn't quite done, adding an insurance marker in the third period. The QMJHL MVP was an easy choice as first star on Saturday evening.

Dufour's four-goal game was the first in a Memorial Cup game since Dylan Strome scored four goals - part of a seven point game - for the Erie Otters on May 22, 2017. However, this was not Dufour's first four-goal game as the 2020 fifth-rounder previously scored four goals against Moncton on Feb. 27.
Saint John wrapped up round robin play with two wins and an overtime loss, automatically qualifying for the final on Wednesday night, where they will play the winner of Hamilton and Shawinigan.
