HOW IT WENT DOWN

Early in the second, Jonas Rondbjerg scored his second goal of the year to increase the Vegas lead to 2-0. Midway through the frame, Adam Brooks scored his first as a Golden Knight to give the Golden Knights a 3-0 edge through two periods. After Nashville got on the board in the third, Alex Pietrangelo buried a shorthanded goal to put Vegas up, 4-1. The Predators added a late power-play goal, but Mark Stone scored an empty-net goal for a 5-2 Vegas victory.
