When the Vegas Golden Knights hit the ice in Chicago on Oct. 22, the team was less than 24 hours removed from a 6-2 loss to the Philadelphia Flyers. The Golden Knights weren't themselves in Philly but showed how the nature of the NHL's schedule benefits teams who can reset each day.

Vegas pulled off 2-1 shootout victory and, while the score was low, morale was high after a strong finish to the road trip.

Holden's Game-Tying Goal
We've said before that every goal Nick Holden scores is a party. This one was quite the affair as Holden's goal with 1:33 to play tied the game and helped the Golden Knights go the distance for the win.

Theodore's Shootout Winner
One day, goalies will learn how to stop Shea Theodore in shootouts. That day was not Oct. 22 as Theodore deked eventual teammate Robin Lehner for the game-deciding goal.

Fleury Moves to Seventh in All-Time Wins
More than 800 people have stood between the pipes for an NHL game. On Oct. 22, Marc-Andre Fleury became the seventh-winningest goalie of all-time. The dude made the leap to seventh with his 446th victory.

Flailing Fleury
Sometimes Fleury looks like he's down-and-out. Maybe he does that to trick shooters into thinking they have a chance to score on him. This save had "spectacular" written all over it. Oh, and by the way, it's on 1,000-point man and Hart Trophy winner Patrick Kane.
