They say time flies when you're having fun and that's certainly been the case for the Golden Knights in their inaugural season. With just one regular season home game to go, Vegas has the potential to clinch the top spot in the Pacific Division against the San Jose Sharks tonight at 7:30 p.m. PT. Tonight's game can be viewed on AT&T SportsNet.
These are the three keys to the game:

1. Something About San Jose
The Golden Knights have earned at least one point in all of their matchups against the Sharks so far this season. They have a 2-0-1 record and play their final game against the Sharks tonight in their regular season home game finale. With Vegas' win last night, the Golden Knights have a seven-point lead over the San Jose Sharks for first in the Pacific Division.
2. Western Conference Success
The Golden Knights have a 31-11-4 record against Western Conference teams and an 18-4-3 record against divisional teams. Vegas is currently ranked fourth in the National Hockey League with 105 points and second in the Western Conference. They're six points behind Nashville (111 points) for the lead of the West. With a win tonight, the Golden Knights can solidify their top spot in the Pacific Division.
3. Players to Watch
James Neal will play in his 700th career NHL game tonight against San Jose, while Jonathan Marchessault will play in his 200th. Marchessault had two goals- including the game-winner in overtime - last night against the St. Louis Blues and is tied for a career-high seven game point streak. He has 10 points (5-5-10) over his last seven games. William Karlsson has seven points over his last three games (2-5-7), while Erik Haula (1-2-3) and Alex Tuch (2-1-3) are also on a three-game point streak.
