After landing in Las Vegas from her hometown of Janesville, CA, Annabelle made her way to City National Arena to get her contract negotiations squared away with Golden Knights management. General Manager Kelly McCrimmon presented Anabelle with a one-day contract that also granted her Knight for Life status. After signing on the dotted line, she laced up and got ready to hit the ice with the rest of the Golden Knights where she put on a show for all fans in attendance.
When she eventually got tired of scoring goal after goal on Logan Thompson, Annabelle opted to drop the gloves with Keegan Kolesar. Following a rather one-sided tilt, Anabelle skated to the penalty box to cool down. Kolesar licked his wounds and admitted defeat.
"Yeah, I'm hoping that doesn't go on my hockeyfights.com page," said Kolesar. "It would be bad for my rep, getting mopped like that in front of everyone."
Once she finished serving her penalty, she and her teammates all joined to take a team picture to close out her practice session. To finish the day, she got to meet and take a picture with her favorite player, captain Mark Stone.
The team appreciated her presence as it brought some much-needed levity to a team battling through a three-game losing streak.
"She's great, she's pretty elite," said Logan Thompson. "Don't think I stopped a lot of pucks at her, and I think when I did, it was pretty lucky on my part."
The next day, Annabelle returned to City National Arena to join the Golden Knights for their game-day morning skate where she was able to watch from the player's bench. Once that had concluded, she sat between Chandler Stephenson and Nicolas Roy in the locker room. There she answered several questions about her experience as a Golden Knight and what she hoped to see from the team in the game later that night. When asked what her favorite part of the past couple of days has been, her response was "skating on the ice with the Vegas Golden Knights." She was also asked about her fight and she matter-of-factly answered, "I won."
Later that night at T-Mobile Arena, Annabelle joined her teammates and gave them fist bumps as they walked out for warmups. When it came time to announce starting lineups, she took the ice next to Logan Thompson and received an ovation from the crowd.
