With just over five minutes to play in the first, Chandler Stephenson potted a power-play goal to give the Golden Knights the 1-0 lead. Reilly Smith netted the only goal of the second period as his shorthanded marker put Vegas ahead, 2-0. Phil Kessel extended the lead to 3-0, but a Taylor Raddysh goal snapped the shutout bid. Smith added an empty-net goal as the Golden Knights won, 4-1.
