Golden Knights Announce Initiatives To Fight Hunger

VEGAS (November 14, 2017) -Vegas Golden Knights PresidentKerry Bubolzannounced today, November 14, a canned food drive presented by Nacho Daddy during the Vegas Golden Knights game against the Los Angeles Kings on Sunday, November 19, as well as a canned food drive at City National Arena in partnership with SilverSummit Healthplan.
"Service to our community and improving the lives of those residents in our community are two significant priorities for the Vegas Golden Knights organization," said Vegas Golden Knights President Kerry Bubolz. "Hunger is a major issue in our area and becomes even more magnified around the holidays. We encourage Golden Knights fans and Las Vegans who have the means to help this worthy cause by donating."

Fans attending Sunday's 5 p.m. game at T-Mobile Arena between the Golden Knights and Kings are asked to bring nonperishable food items for the food drive presented by Nacho Daddy.
Canned goods will be collected at the entry before the game by Golden Knights significant others. Everyone who donates a canned item will receive a poster featuring forward Erik Haula, the team's spokesperson for the drive. All collected items will be donated to Three Square Food Bank, Southern Nevada's only food bank that serves individuals and families at risk of hunger.
The drive at City National Arena will take place today through Saturday, November 18, with donations supporting Three Square Food Bank.
Donation bins are placed around the arena throughout the week, and there will be a community celebration at the facility Saturday from 9 a.m.-1 p.m. PT to cap off the drive. The event will feature an appearance from Golden Knights mascot Chance, a raffle drawing, face painting and other family activities.
In addition to the food drives, select Golden Knights players will prepare meals for the less fortunate next Monday, November 20, at T-Mobile Arena. More details will be provided at a later date.
