The Philadelphia Flyers today announced and submitted their 23-man opening night active roster to the National Hockey League, according to General Manager Daniel Briere.
The active roster features 14 forwards, seven defensemen, and two goaltenders:

In addition to the 23-player opening night roster, the Flyers have listed forward Denver Barkey on Injured Reserve, while defenseman Helge Grans has been designated as Injured Non-Roster.
Fifteen players on this season’s opening night roster were also members of the Flyers’ opening night roster last season, and helped clinch their first Stanley Cup Playoff berth in six years to ultimately advance to the Eastern Conference Second Round. The Flyers return nine of their top 10 goal scorers as well as their top 10 point producers from last season.
The opening night roster also features three players set to make their Philadelphia debut: Noel Acciari, Simon Benoit and Joseph Woll.
Of the 23 players on the opening night roster, 10 were originally drafted by the Flyers, five were signed as free agents and eight were acquired via trade:

Philadelphia will open the 2026-27 regular season at home for the first time since 2022 when they host their intrastate rival, the Pittsburgh Penguins, on Wednesday, Sept. 30 at 7:30 p.m. TNT Sports will be broadcasting the game nationally and will be bringing its NHL on TNT studio broadcast to Stateside Live. Live on-site coverage will begin at 6 p.m. hosted by Liam McHugh, alongside analysts Wayne Gretzky, Henrik Lundqvist, Anson Carter and Paul Bissonnette.
