CALGARY, AB -- On Wednesday morning, the Calgary Flames announced winger Johnny Gaudreau suffered a fractured finger in Tuesday's game against the Minnesota Wild.
The 23-year-old will undergo surgery today. A timeline for his return to play will be provided in the ensuing days.
Gaudreau, who scored the game-winner in the 1-0 victory over the Wild, was limited to 15:11 of ice time last night due to the injury.
In his last four games, the winger has three goals and four points. Gaudreau leads the Flames in scoring with five goals and 11 points through 17 games this season.
