FACING THE BLACKHAWKS
Tonight's game is the final contest in the season series between the Calgary Flames and Chicago Blackhawks. The Flames took the first game 3-2 in shootout, which required seven rounds and saw Kris Versteeg net the game winner for Calgary. The Blackhawks picked up a 5-1 win in the second skate in the series, with Michael Frolik scoring Calgary's lone goal in the game.
In their last 10 home games against the Blackhawks, the Flames hold a 6-3-1 record. In three of the last six of those games, overtime or a shootout was required.

FORMER HAWKS IN CALGARY
The Flames have three forwards on their roster who have spent time with the Blackhawks earlier in their careers: Frolik, Versteeg and Troy Brouwer.
Frolik played 136 regular season games for the Blackhawks, recording 11 goals and 34 points in that stretch. He also suited up for 34 playoff games for Chicago and won a Stanley Cup with the Blackhawks in 2013.
Versteeg has had two stints with the Blackhawks, winning two Stanley Cups with the organization (2010, 2015). In total, he played 294 regular season games and registered 68 goals and 164 points. He dressed for 68 postseason games, netting 12 goals and 31 points.
Brouwer, drafted by the Blackhawks 214th overall in the 2004 NHL Draft, amassed 49 goals and 103 points in 238 regular season games. He also played in 43 playoff games and won a Stanley Cup with the Blackhawks in 2010.
FROLIK'S FIRST
On Wednesday, the Flames picked up their second win in as many nights when they defeated the Arizona Coyotes 2-1 in overtime. Frolik played the hero in the victory, netting the game-winner 49 seconds into the extra frame. It was the veteran's first overtime goal of his career and the tally now puts him in the lead in team scoring with six goals and 12 points in 18 games.
THE BRICK WALL
Chad Johnson got the start in both games of a back-to-back set earlier this week and allowed just one goal in those skates. In the games against the Minnesota Wild and Arizona Coyotes, Johnson posted a 0.50 GAA and .979 save percentage.

Mikael Backlund needs 2 games for 400.
Dennis Wideman needs 4 goals for 100.
