Zegras Third Star

The National Hockey League (NHL) today named Trevor Zegras the Third Star for the week ending Jan. 22.

The 21-year-old Zegras posted eight points in four games this week (4-4=8), tied for second among league leaders in scoring and tied for third in goals. Zegras matched a season-high with three points, including two goals scored four minutes apart, Saturday in Buffalo, helping the Ducks overcome a three-goal deficit for the second consecutive game.
Zegras' career-best five-game point streak includes three multi-point efforts and five points (3-2=5) in his last two appearances. He also has points in nine of his last 10 games (7-6=13).
Now in his second full NHL season, Zegras leads Anaheim in points (17-23=40), goals, even-strength goals (14), even-strength points (14-15=29) and multi-point games (12), while he co-leads in power-play points (3-8=11). He also co-leads the NHL in shootout goal this season (4).
