Not surprisingly, both friends and foes laud Travis Zajac for what he is -- a pro's pro. Here are some comments:
BRENT SUTTER: "The best way to say it is that Travis has taken the necessary steps needed to be a good pro. The more he played the more he became mentally and physically stronger."
MARTIN BRODEUR: "As he found himself in the league Travis became a dominant player, scoring big goals for us and playing in a lot of situations."
PETER DEBOER REFLECTING ON ZAJAC IN 2012 PLAYOFFS: "We couldn't have gone as far as we did -- to the Cup Final -- without him. He became our most effective and consistent player."

ANDY GREENE ON ZAJAC'S OT GWG IN GAME 6 VS. FLORIDA: "After Travis scored he did a 'Running Man' celebration that I'll never forget. A while after, Zach Parise and I needled Travis about it because such a celebration was so unlike him -- and we loved it!"
BLAKE COLEMAN: "The more I got to know him, the more his personality came out and how much he enjoys playing the game, scoring goals and just being around the guys. Very rarely did he ever have a bad game because he always was positionally sound and prepared the right way. He taught me how to focus on using my energy the right way."
ZACH PARISE: "Unless you play with him, you don't understand how really good he is. I was fortunate to play with him for a long time. I don't know how this guy he's one of the most underrated players."
JOHN HYNES: "He's really a coach's dream. He's insightful. He's coachable. He's a true pro every day in the way he works and leads by example; and the way that he plays and competes."
LINDY RUFF: For Travis to accomplish what he has is terrific. And I know why. He's good in all areas. He's a student of the game. He's coach-able and a good leader; on the ice and off the ice. He deserves all the good words about him because of the way Travis plays."
