On this day in 1997 in London, Ontario, Devils draft pick Colton White was born. The defensive prospect grew up playing in the Ontario minor hockey system and was drafted in the second round of the Ontario Hockey League Priority Selection by the Sault-St-Marie Greyhounds.

White played four seasons of junior hockey with Sault-St-Marie and was an alternate captain in his final two years of junior. Over the course of his four years in the league, White played 256 regular-season games, and accumulated 93 points with 21 goals and 72 assists. He played in another 46 playoff games.

In 2015, Colton was drafted by the New Jersey Devils. He was a fourth-round, 97th overall selection held in Sunrise, Florida. He would make his professional debut during the 2017-18 AHL season, joining the Binghamton Devils playing 47 games with the club.

During the 2018-19 season, White had played 61 games for Binghamton before receiving his first NHL call-up. White received the news on March 13, 2019 and made his debut that night, in a road win over the Edmonton Oilers. He played in three NHL games that season.

This season White has played in six NHL games, while adding another 45 with Binghamton in the AHL.
