The New Jersey Devils announced today that the team has signed defenseman Vladislav Kolyachonok to a one-year, one-way contract worth $850,000. The announcement was made by General Manager Sunny Mehta and Devils’ Assistant General Manager/Utica Comets General Manager Braden Birch.

Kolyachonok, 28, split time last season between the Bruins and Stars organizations, starting the year in Dallas before being claimed off waivers on December 16, 2025, by Boston. Later, he returned to the Stars’ organization when he was re-claimed on January 21, 2026. He played 11 NHL games with Dallas (1g-2a, 4 PIM), 34 AHL games with Texas (1g-8a, 14 PIM), and two NHL games with Boston (0g-0a). He skated in five Calder Cup Playoff games (1g-0a) with Texas.  

He has skated in 87 career NHL regular-season games over five seasons (Arizona, Utah, Pittsburgh, Dallas, Boston), scoring five goals and 12 assists for 17 points and 22 penalty minutes. The left-handed shot made his NHL debut with the Arizona Coyotes on January 12, 2022, against the Toronto Maple Leafs.

Kolyachonok has skated in 184 career AHL games with the Colorado Eagles, Texas Stars, and Providence tallying 14 goals and 43 assists for 57 points with 90 penalty minutes and a plus-14 rating. In 10 career Calder Cup Playoff games, he has scored two goals with two penalty minutes.

The Minsk, Belarus, native was originally selected by Florida in the second round (52nd overall) of the 2019 NHL Draft. Born on May 26, 2001, he represented his home country at the International Ice Hockey Federation’s 2018 & 2019 U-18 World Junior Championship (WJC), 2020 U-20 WJC D1A, and 2022 Olympic Winter Games qualifying.
