Tonight's contest is the third and final contest between New Jersey and Toronto in the 2018-19 regular season series. The Devils fell to the Maple Leafs the first two contests; 6-1 at Scotiabank Arena, and 7-2 most recently at Prudential Center.

Nico Hischier, Sami Vatanen, and Travis Zajac lead New Jersey in goals with one. Taylor Hall, Brian Boyle, Kyle Palmieri, and Blake Coleman have tallied one helper each. Par Lindholm (2G-1A), Morgan Reily (1G-2A), Connor Brown (3A) and Nazem Kadri (3A) all lead Toronto with three points each.
Keith Kinkaid is 0-2-0 in the season series, allowing 11 goals on 51 shots. Mackenzie Blackwood saw his first NHL action in the December 18th contest. Blackwood allowed two goals on 10 shots in 20 minutes of play.
The 2012-13 season was the last time New Jersey was swept by Toronto in a regular season series.
