PHILADELPHIA - Taylor Hall's last-minute goal sent the game into overtime and Drew Stafford scored the shootout winner to give the Devils the 5-4 win over the Philadelphia Flyers.

The Devils clawed their way back from two two-goal deficits in regulation and retain their position in the first wild-card spot in the East.

Here are 10 takeaways from the game.
1. Tuesday night marked the season series finale against the Flyers. The Devils finished with a 2-2-0 record against their Metropolitan Division rivals this season.
The victory for the Devils solidified they would not be on the losing end of a series with the Flyers for the first time since the 2009-10 NHL season.
2. The Devils found themselves behind the 8-ball quickly in this matchup. Flyers forward Travis Konecny scored on a breakaway just 1:54 into the game on the Flyers' third shot of the game.
3. With five minutes to play in the first period, the Devils had yet to record a shot on net at even strength. All three of their shots up until that point came shorthanded. With 4:30 left to play in the first, Hall registered the first even-strength shot from the left circle. The Devils finished the period with just eight shots on net.
4. Keith Kinkaid started in net against the Flyers. Kinkaid was back in after giving up six goals to the Columbus Blue Jackets on Saturday night. Kinkaid stopped 31 of 35 shots in regulation and overtime.
Kinkaid improved his personal record against Philadelphia to 6-1-0.
5. Recent call-up Nick Lappin had a second opportunity to impress the Devils' coaching staff. In his second stint with the Devils this season, Lappin played on a line with Blake Coleman and Jimmy Hayes. He played 11:03 and took a minor penalty.
6. Hall extended his point streak yet again. For a 15th straight game, Hall has registered at least a point against his opponent. On Tuesday night, Hall had the 1-1 tying goal at 4:06 of the second period. His goal came from an impossible angle but found its way behind Flyers netminder Michal Neuvirth.

7. On that very same play, Hall was knocked into the end-boards by Flyers defenseman Radko Gudas. The thunderous hit popped off Hall's helmet, as he sat on the ice, head in his hands, for a moment digesting what just occurred. He was looked at by Devils athletic trainer Kevin Morely on the ice before heading to the locker room. Hall would not return for the remainder of the period, but returned to start the third period.
8. In his return to the lineup from being a healthy scratch, defenseman John Moore scored his seventh goal of the year. Moore's slap shot from the point got through Neuvirth cleanly in the second period, to cut the Flyers' lead to 3-2 at 13:17. Travis Zajac (4) and Jesper Bratt (20) earned the assists. Bratt's assist was his first point in seven games.
9. Perhaps picking Nico Hischier in our "Players to Watch" segment was the magic touch he needed. Ten seconds after the Flyers took a 4-2 lead on the Devils, Hischier replied on a give-and-go play with Bratt for his 10th goal of the season.

Bratt picked up his second point of the game with the assist.
10. With the victory against the Flyers, the Devils avoided a season-high fifth straight loss. The club lost their prior four games in regulation (0-4-0).
