The Devils hit the ice on Friday for practice, following their 3-2 shootout loss to the Boston Bruins on Thursday night. Although the team fell in their home and season opener, they still picked up a point. It was back to work for New Jersey to prepare for their second game in a two game home series against Boston.
P.K. Subban and Ryan Murray both were not on the ice for practice as the pairing took maintenance days. However, Nolan Foote, Nick Merkley, Mikhail Maltsev, and Gilles Senn joined the practice from the taxi squad.
