The Devils made two trades and signed a big-name goaltender in the opening days of free agency, and on Thursday they announced numbers for those players. Corey Crawford will wear 50 for the Devils, while Ryan Murray will don 22, and Andreas Johnsson will be 11.

Crawford is just the second player in Devils history to wear 50, with fellow goaltender Evan Cormier wearing it in preseason and during a brief call-up with the club last season.
