SAVING THE DAY

With his 44-save performance on Mar. 15/21 at Ottawa, Thatcher Demko tied George Gardner and Dunc Wilson for 7th all-time among Canucks goaltenders for most games (7) with 40 or more saves. He trails Roberto Luongo (19), Jacob Markstrom (14), Kirk McLean (12), Richard Brodeur (10), Cory Schneider (8), and Ryan Miller (8) in that category. Demko's four wins when making 40 or more saves are good for 6th in franchise history behind Luongo (10), Markstrom (9), Brodeur (6), Schneider (5), and Miller (5).

BUT HUGHES COUNTING?

Assisting on J.T. Miller's overtime winner on Mar. 15/21 at Ottawa, Quinn Hughes reached the 25-point mark in 32 games for the second consecutive season, which ranks as the 7th-fewest games required to do so by a Canucks defenceman in franchise history. He trails only Paul Reinhart (22), Jeff Brown (24), Jiri Bubla (25), Paul Reinhart (26), Tom Kurvers (30), and Rick Lanz (31) for fewer games to score 25 points.

PUTTING HIS BODY ON THE LINE

Alex Edler leads all Canucks in blocked shots this season (71) and ranks third in the NHL behind only Adam Larsson (91) and Alec Martinez (81). His 14 blocked shots from Mar. 10-13 are also the most he's ever recorded over a two-game period in his career.

THE THATCHER DEM-SHOW

Allowing just two goals on 46 shots in the Canucks overtime win at Ottawa on Mar. 15/21, Thatcher Demko has now limited his opponents to two goals or less in 9 of his last 12 starts dating back to Feb. 13/21. He has also picked up six wins in his last seven starts, posting a 1.69 GAA and .953 SV% in that time. Demko leads all NHL goalies this season in shots against (709) and saves (652).
