BROSSARD - Head coach Michel Therrien confirmed on Monday that Paul Byron will be back in the lineup against Washington.

The 27-year-old forward missed Saturday's game in Toronto after suffering an upper body injury on Wednesday in Dallas. Byron left the game after taking a solid hit from Patrick Sharp in the first period.
"It was just an upper body injury. I didn't feel that great after the hit, so I took a couple of days off to let the body recuperate, and get some treatment -- everything feels better now," confirmed the Ottawa native following practice. "I had a couple of real good days here in Brossard. It sucks to miss the game Saturday, but I probably feel a lot better now because of it."
Through 39 games this season, the 5-foot-9 winger has racked up 12 goals and 11 assists for a career-high 23 points.
Daniel Carr will sit out Monday's game as a healthy scratch.
