Numbers Game

MONTREAL - Here's a numerical look at Saturday night's game against the Ottawa Senators at the Bell Centre.

3 - This was the third game in 12 days between the two teams. Montreal took the first two during the sequence, beating Ottawa 5-2 in a home-at-home series last week. This is the fourth and final meeting this season between the Atlantic division rivals. The Habs lost the first contest 4-3 in overtime back on October 20 in Ottawa.
600- The Habs' win was head coach Claude Julien's 600th in the NHL. He currently ranks 18th all-time in the category among the League's bench bosses. He is the fifth active coach to reach the plateau; Ken Hitchcock, Barry Trotz, Paul Maurice, and Mike Babcock are the others. Julien holds a 134-120-10-34 record in 298 games coached over two stints with the Canadiens.
2 - Number of consecutive games in which Matthew Peca has scored a goal. The centerman lit the lamp for the second time since returning to the lineup on Thursday against the Carolina Hurricanes. Peca also added an assist in the third period and now has 10 points (3G, 7A) in 24 games this season.

9 - Number of times Phillip Danault has finished a game with at least a 60% success rate in the faceoff dot this season. Danault also thought he had scored the Habs' go-ahead goal in the third period when the game was tied at 2-2, but the goal was waved off because coincidental minors had been called against Thomas Chabot (hooking) and Artturi Lehkonen (embellishment). He did earn an assist on Shea Weber's go-ahead goal with 9:54 to play, however - his third assist in two games.
4 - Number of goals captain Shea Weber has in nine games this season, which places him second in scoring among defensemen on the Canadiens. Only Jeff Petry sits above him, with seven markers in 2018-19.
