NICK SUZUKI

MONTREAL - Here's a short recap of the some of the Habs' prospects enjoying a strong start to the season.

Nick Suzuki:
The captain of the OHL's Owen Sound Attack continues racking up the points. The forward, who was acquired along with Tomas Tatar in the Max Pacioretty trade on September 10, is currently ninth in league scoring with 38 points in 24 games. His 19 goals rank him sixth in the OHL in that category.

Of special note, the Vegas Golden Knights' first round pick (13th overall) in 2017 set a career high in shots on goal in a game when he recorded 14 this past Saturday against the Soo Greyhounds - which was 38.8% of his team's total shot count that night. Suzuki lit the lamp twice in the game.
Josh Brook:
The Canadiens' second-round pick (56th overall) in 2017 is making a name for himself as one of the best defensemen in the WHL. The 19-year-old has 27 points through his first 18 games, placing him third among defensemen in scoring. The Moose Jaw Warriors captain also leads all WHL defensemen in goals with seven.

Brook is currently riding a seven-game points streak, and has registered 14 points during that span. He has collected at least a point in 16 of the 18 games he's played this season.
Allan McShane:
Allan McShane, picked in the fourth round (97th overall) by the Canadiens, is picking up steam after a slow start. The Oshawa Generals forward only picked up eight points in his first 10 games, but now has four tallies in his last six games, and has six points during that span.

The centerman finished last season with 65 points (20G, 45A) in 67 games with the Generals.
