MONTREAL - The Canadiens announced on Sunday that they've agreed to terms on a two-year contract with free agent forward Matthew Peca.

The deal will pay the 25-year-old Petawawa, ON native $1.3 million (AAV) per season.
Peca spent the bulk of the 2017-18 campaign with the AHL's Syracuse Crunch, registering 13 goals and 46 points in 63 games. He also added three goals and nine points in six playoff games.
The Quinnipiac University product also played 10 games with the Tampa Bay Lightning, scoring two goals and registering five points.
In 20 career NHL games - all with the Lightning - Peca boasts three goals and seven points.
He was selected in the seventh round - 201st overall - by the Lightning back in 2011.
