For young fans, Bruins Academy is the only place that provides exclusive content developed specifically for the youngest members of the Bruins fan base. Kids can create their very own Bruins Academy avatar, track Bruins schedule and statistics, participate in challenges directly from the team, test their skills at trivia and daily predictor games, and much more.
Bruins Academy also will feature various educational material centered around health and wellness including weekly "B-Healthy" tips, health-themed trivia packs, and fitness challenges that encourage young Bruins fans to be more active - provided by Floating Hospital for Children specialists.
"We are thrilled to partner with the Bruins to offer this exciting new app and provide important health content to young fans of the Black & Gold," said Rashed Durgham, MD, Pediatrician-in-Chief and Chief Administrative Officer at Floating Hospital for Children at Tufts Medical Center. "The app's hockey theme will help promote a healthy lifestyle that is engaging and fun. Hopefully, we'll see some Bruins Academy 'graduates' take the ice at TD Garden for the hometown team someday."
Bruins Academy also features Mazu's safe and secure chat system to let kids communicate with other fans and even join live chat parties with some of the Bruins biggest names.
Bruins Academy is backed by Mazu's advanced chat monitoring technology that filters out bad language, abusive comments and can even decipher harmful or negative messaging, all of which is fully compliant with the Children's Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA) and certified by Privo.
The app is free to download and is available on Android and iTunes.
