Colorado Avalanche captain Gabriel Landeskog will be out for approximately 12 weeks after undergoing knee surgery.

Avalanche Head Coach Jared Bednar provided an update on Wednesday morning that Landeskog underwent arthroscopic knee surgery on Tuesday.
"[His knee] started bugging him in training camp and getting back on the ice," Bednar said. "So they looked at it, had images taken. Decided on surgery. [Landeskog had the surgery performed] in Minneapolis."
Landeskog had previously undergone knee surgery on March 14 ahead of Colorado's Stanley Cup run and subsequently, missed the final 23 games of the 2021-22 season. During the Avalanche's Stanley Cup-winning run, the Swedish winger posted 22 points (11G, 11A) through 20 games.
The Avalanche announced roster moves as they recalled forward Jayson Megna from the Colorado Eagles of the American Hockey League ahead of the Avalanche's contest agianst Winnipeg on Wednesday night.
