Here are some updates from the past week:

MAKAR SCORES IN BACK-TO-BACK GAMES

We've seen that headline before…
Taylor Makar, brother of Cale and the Avs seventh-round pick (220th overall) of the 2021 NHL Draft, netted his second and third career goals for the University of Massachusetts Minutemen this past weekend.
Massachusetts is ranked sixth in the country with a 4-0-1 record and plays Merrimack in a home-and-home series Friday and Saturday.
Featured in the video below, Makar splits the defense and chips the puck over the goaltender's left shoulder to help the Minutemen defeat Union 7-0.

AMBROSIO OFF TO STRONG START FOR BC EAGLES

Colorado's fourth-round pick (118th overall, 2020 NHL Draft) Colby Ambrosio hit the ground running to kick off his junior season with the Boston College Eagles.
The Welland, Ontario native leads the team in scoring with five points (3G, 2A) through four games.
Ambrosio and the Eagles are tied for second in the Hockey East standings with a 2-0-0 conference record and own an overall record of 2-1-1.
The Eagles battle UConn on Thursday, Oct. 27th at 7:00 p.m. in Hartford, Conn.
