Prior to the game on Sunday night, Altitude's Marc Moser and Peter McNab will sit down with former Nordiques players who moved with the franchise to Denver and went on to win the 1996 Stanley Cup with the Avs, including Adam Foote, Adam Deadmarsh and many more with players subject to change. The Retro Night Roundtable, presented by PointsBet, will air on Colorado's Facebook at 8 p.m. MT.
Monday's game marks the first time that Colorado will wear its new reverse retro jerseys at Ball Arena, and the special pregame ceremonies, which will include a Retro Night projection and a unique opening video, will be streamed live on the Avalanche's Facebook page.
Although the Avs Faithful can't be in the building with the team on Retro Night, the Avalanche wants to help celebrate the night with the tradition of pregame warmup posters.
On Sunday, Feb. 21 from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. MT, there will be a Retro Night poster drop-off event, presented by PointsBet, where fans can drop off pre-made retro-themed posters in the Tundra parking lot at Ball Arena.
The fan messages and posters that are collected on Sunday will be hung on the glass on Colorado's side of the ice for warmup when the Avalanche hosts the Golden Knights on Monday.
Puck drop is scheduled for 7 p.m. MT.
