The Colorado Avalanche will ice an almost entirely different lineup for its second preseason outing tonight against the Minnesota Wild at Ball Arena than it did in its first game on Tuesday.
Forward Oskar Olausson and defensemen Jack Johnson and Jacob MacDonald are the only skaters competing against the Wild that also played in the Avs' first exhibition contest, a 4-3 loss at the Vegas Golden Knights.
Four players are set to make their NHL preseason debuts including forwards Alex Newhook, Sampo Ranta and Andreas Wingerli and goaltender Justus Annunen. Ranta and Annunen were both selected by Colorado in the third round of the 2018 draft while Newhook was the Avalanche's first-round pick in 2019. Wingerli had spent his entire career in Sweden prior to signing with Colorado as a free agent this past summer.
