Philipp Grubauer warmup pregame third jersey Dallas Stars 2019 November 1

Goaltender Philipp Grubauer will start in net this evening when the Colorado Avalanche hosts the Winnipeg Jets at Pepsi Center.
It is the second of four meetings between these Central Division rivals and the first of two in Denver. Colorado won 4-0 in the first matchup in Winnipeg on Nov. 12 behind a four-point outing from Nathan MacKinnon and a 40-save performance from Adam Werner, who was making his NHL debut in relief.

Avalanche head coach Jared Bednar will mix up his top-six forward combinations for the contest, slotting Joonas Donskoi on the right side of Gabriel Landeskog and MacKinnon while Mikko Rantanen will be on a line with Andre Burakovsky and Nazem Kadri.
Tonight's game marks the seventh consecutive season and ninth since moving to Denver that the Avs are hosting a New Year's Eve outing (4-2-2). Overall, it is the 17th time that Colorado will play on the last day of the calendar year and the club has gone 8-5-3 in the previous 16 games.
Below is the Avalanche's projected lineup. All forward combinations and defensive pairings are subject to change.
