2026 IIHF World Juniors Notebook: Day 5

On the fifth day of the 2026 IIHF World Junior Championship, Utah had one prospect participating in games. Let’s take a look at how Ludvig Johnson and Switzerland did on Tuesday.

SUI: Johnson

Switzerland secured its first win of the preliminary round with a 4-0 victory over Germany. The Swiss scored four unanswered goals in the first 27 minutes of the game and kept the Germans from scoring on any of their 20 shots.

Mammoth prospect Ludvig Johnson scored the fourth and final goal of the game, 6:10 into the second period. Johnson played 19:07 and had three shots on goal.

Switzerland’s next game is on Dec. 31 against Slovakia. Game time is 11:00 a.m. MT.
