The Texas Stars have a hit a rough patch. Texas went 0-2-0 on a California road trip last week, pushing their losing streak to four games. Texas is now 4-5-2 on the season.
The Texas roster is looking a little thin at the moment, especially on defense. The Stars have been without Gavin Bayreuther and Reece Scarlett due to injuries and Dillon Heatherington is with Dallas because of injuries with the big team. Texas is also without an important forward in Justin Dowling, who is also with Dallas at the moment.
Texas, which has surrendered 19 goals during the four-game skid, made a change in its goaltending alignment Monday, bringing in Philippe Desrosiers from the Idaho Steelheads of the ECHL and sending Colton Point to Boise.

Thursday, November 1: Ontario 5, Texas 3

The Stars led 3-2 after one period on goals by Adam Mascherin,Ben Gleason, and Colton Hargrove, but Ontario scored once in the second to tie and then tallied twice in the third to defeat Texas, 5-3, Thursday night at Citizens Business Bank Arena. Sheldon Rempal's power-play goal of the third gave Ontario a 4-3 lead and then the Reign added a late empty-net goal to hand the Stars their third consecutive loss. Landon Bow got the start in goal and stopped 31 of 35 shots.

Saturday, November 3: Bakersfield 4, Texas 3

The Stars' skid hit four games with a 4-3 loss at Bakersfield on Saturday night. The Stars were down 2-0 after one period and 4-1 after two. Erik Condra scored to cut the lead to 4-2 with 7:15 remaining and then Michael Mersch scored with one second left to make it a 4-3 final. Joel Hanley scored in the second period for the Stars, and Denis Gurianov chipped in with two assists. Colton Pointgot the start in goal and stopped 25 of 29 shots. Landon Bow played briefly in the game and made one save.

Transactions: Goalie shakeup

Texas will have a different look at goal this week after Dallas made some minor-league transactions Monday. Dallas sent goaltender Colton Point from Texas to Idaho of the ECHL and assigned goaltender Philippe Desrosiers to Texas from Idaho.
Point has struggled early in the season in the AHL, posting a 1-3-1 record with a 3.96 goals against average and .854 save percentage. His save percentage ranks 51st among the 56 goaltenders who have played at least three games and 180 minutes in the AHL.
Desrosiers is 2-3-1 in the ECHL with a 2.76 goals against average and .911 save percentage. Desrosiers has played 20 AHL games over the past three seasons, posting a 9-7-1 record, 2.65 GAA and .909 save percentage.
Landon Bow is 3-2-1 for Texas with a 3.12 goals against average and .895 save percentage.
Dallas also assigned forward Tony Calderone to Idaho on Monday. Calderone has one goal in six games for Texas his season.

Idaho Steelheads
