Amerks vs. Utica
The Amerks scored twice during the second period and held off a heavy third period push by the Utica Comets on Wednesday to come away with a 2-1 road victory.
Cal O'Reilly and Cole Schneider, Rochester's top two point-getters on the season, led the Amerks on the scoresheet with each picking up a goal and an assist on the night. The multi-point outing was O'Reilly's sixth while Schneider collected his team-leading seventh of the campaign.
Making his 15th start, goaltender Linus Ullmark stopped 34 of 35 shots to end his five-game winless streak and even his record to 7-7-1 on the season. Rookie defenseman Paul Geiger also added an assist.

Amerks vs. Toronto
Rochester used another quick 2-0 lead before the end of the first period and then held on for a 3-2 victory over the North Division rival Toronto Marlies at The Blue Cross Arena Friday night during Star Wars Night.
O'Reilly led the Amerks attack as he registered his second consecutive multi-point outing (1+1) and seventh of the season. Nicholas Baptiste netted his team-best 10th goal of the campaign in just his 13 contest of the year with the Amerks before adding a helper on O'Reilly's game-winning goal. ss
Ullmark improved his record to 8-7-1 as he stopped 33 of the 35 shots he faced and Schneider found the back of the net for the second straight game to round out the scoring.
"It was very important to get a lead against a team like Toronto," Amerks head coach Dan Lambert said. "It was big because lately we have not had the best of luck in the last few weeks when we have fallen behind."

RCH 0 - SYR 4

The Rochester Americans (9-12-0-1) were denied in their bid for a third straight win after coming up empty-handed in a 4-0 setback to the Syracuse Crunch (12-5-0-2) Saturday at the War Memorial Arena.
Evan Rodrigues recorded a team-high four shots for the Amerks while Linus Ullmark made 34 saves as Rochester suffered its first shutout loss of the season.
Erik Condra (1+2) and Matt Taormina (0+3) each finished with three points in the winning effort while Adam Erne scored twice for the Crunch, who improved to 5-0-0-0 in the season series and surpassed Albany for sole possession of first place in the American Hockey League's North Division standings. Syracuse goaltender Adam Wilcox stopped all 25 shots sent his way to pick up his first pro shutout.
