Coach's Corner

Welcome to the USA Hockey Coaching Education Program:

The Nashville Predators have teamed up with USA Hockey to host coaching clinics throughout the season through the USA Hockey Coaching Education Program (CEP). These educational clinics will be helpful to the seasoned coach, volunteer parent and casual hockey fan. For more information or to find a USA Hockey CEP clinic near you click here.

USA Hockey, Inc., is the National Governing Body for the sport of hockey in the United States. As such, its mission is to promote the growth of hockey in America and provide the best possible experience for all participants by encouraging, developing, advancing and administering the sport.

With a membership of more than one million strong, including hockey players, coaches, officials and volunteers, and fans of the game, USA Hockey's primary emphasis is on the support and development of grassroots hockey programs.

For coaches and officials, USA Hockey conducts clinics and produces training manuals and videos through the Coaching Education Program and the Officiating Education Program. These programs enrich the knowledge of coaches and officials through careful study, training and examination. USA Hockey also promotes uniformity in playing rules and the interpretations of those rules.

Why Be a Coach?

Coaching is a great way for ex-players to give something back to a sport that gave them a lot of enjoyment, and a chance for parents to enhance their child's involvement in the game by participating as well.
