Juneteenth, a blend of the words June and nineteenth, marks the end to slavery in the United States and is considered the longest running African American holiday in the United States. In celebration of such an important moment in our nation's history, the Nashville Predators would like to share details regarding various Juneteenth events taking place across Middle Tennessee.

Juneteenth615 @ Ft. Negley - June 19

Come join us June 19 from 5-9:30 p.m. for Juneteenth615 at Fort Negley Park! Juneteenth615 is a special commemoration of Juneteenth, a celebration of the emancipation of enslaved people in the United States. Enjoy music, food, games, family-friendly activities and Nashville’s only Juneteenth fireworks display. Don't miss out on this chance to come together as a community and honor this important day.

This celebration is presented by the African American Cultural Alliance (AACA) and the FELLAVISION Foundation in collaboration with other community partners.

Juneteenth @NMAAM! Community Day - June 19

Experience the power of music in commemorating freedom at NMAAM's annual Juneteenth Community Day on June 19 from 10 a.m. - 5 p.m. This free event welcomes all ages to explore African American musical traditions that emerged from emancipation and celebrates the ongoing journey toward liberation through interactive exhibits, live performances, and community engagement.
