The Golden Knights defeated the Winnipeg Jets 3-2 in overtime Thursday to set an NHL record for most wins by a team in its inaugural season (34). The previous record was 33 by the Mighty Ducks of Anaheim and Florida Panthers in 1993-94.
Vegas, which leads the Pacific Division and Western Conference with 72 points, is 7-2-2 in its past 11 games and 19-3-3 in its past 25.
The Wild, 5-1-1 in their past seven games and 9-3-2 in their past 14, will be bolstered by the return of forward Nino Niederreiter, who has missed the past eight games, and 19 this season, with an ankle injury. He has 19 points (13 goals, six assists) in 31 games.

Golden Knights forward David Perron, who scored the winning goal Thursday, has 10 points (four goals, six assists) in his past seven games and 17 points (six goals, 11 assists) in his past 16.
Wild forward Mikael Granlund has two goals and two assists in a three-game point streak and has 18 points (eight goals, 10 assists) in his past 14 games.

Vegas did not hold a morning skate. … Subban is expected to start for the first time since Jan. 19. He's 7-0-1 in his past eight starts. McNabb is expected to return after missing three games with an undisclosed injury. … Reilly will play after being a healthy scratch for the past seven games.
