Dansk honors victims of Las Vegas shooting with new mask

Goalie's tribute includes 58 Golden Knights logos @NHLdotcom

Oscar Dansk is using his new mask to remember the victims of last year's mass shooting in Las Vegas.

The Vegas Golden Knights goalie's mask, unveiled Wednesday, is adorned with 58 Golden Knights logos in honor of those killed at the Route 91 Harvest Festival on Oct 1.

The logos are on the top of the mask because they are "closest to heaven," according to mask artist David Gunnarsson, who shared the design on his Instagram page. It also features the "Vegas Strong" logo, which the Golden Knights created in the days after the shooting, on the chin.

Dansk's mask is the most recent way the Golden Knights have honored the victims. In March, Vegas retired the No. 58.
