Welcome to the Training Camp Buzz. The 24 teams who will be competing for the Stanley Cup began training camp at their facilities Monday. The teams are scheduled to head to their respective hub cities (Toronto for the 12 Eastern Conference teams, Edmonton for the 12 Western Conference teams), on July 26, with the Stanley Cup Qualifiers set to begin Aug. 1.

Here's a look around the League at the latest from training camp:

Boston Bruins

David Pastrnak and Ondrej Kase each missed their second straight day of practice Friday with the Bruins after they were ruled "unfit to participate" on Thursday.

The forwards skated with a small group of teammates Wednesday. It was their first time on the ice during training camp, which began Monday. Each missed the first two days because of quarantine rules for players arriving from Europe, according to general manager Don Sweeney.

Tuukka Rask was a full participant in practice after leaving early Thursday. Coach Bruce Cassidy said the goalie had been stung by a shot in practice Tuesday.

The Bruins will play in the round-robin portion of the Stanley Cup Qualifiers in Toronto, the Eastern Conference hub city, against the Washington Capitals, Tampa Bay Lightning and Philadelphia Flyers. Boston's first game is against Philadelphia on Aug. 2. The Bruins will play an exhibition game against the Columbus Blue Jackets on July 30.-- Amalie Benjamin

Tampa Bay Lightning

Steven Stamkos took part in power-play work but did not take part in a full-team practice with the Lightning.

Stamkos skated with defenseman Victor Hedman and forwards Brayden Point, Nikita Kucherov and Alex Killorn, but he left the ice before practice started.

The forward hasn't practiced since training camp opened Monday because of a lower-body injury sustained during small-group voluntary workouts during Phase 2 of the NHL Return to Play Plan.

Lightning general manager Julien BriseBrois said Monday that he was confident Stamkos would be in the lineup when the Lightning begin play in the round-robin portion of the Qualifiers against the Washington Capitals on Aug. 3.

Chicago Blackhawks

Corey Crawford has been "unfit to play" through the first four days of training camp, and coach Jeremy Colliton said it's too soon to know if the goaltender will be able to return this season.

"We don't know. For now, that's how we're describing it as unfit to participate," Colliton said on WGN Radio. "We'll see. There's still time."

Crawford has not participated in Blackhawks traning camp, which began Monday. He also did not participate in the Chicago's voluntary workouts that began on June 8. The Blackhawks have four goalies participating at camp (Malcolm Subban, Collin Delia, Kevin Lankinen and Matt Tomkins) and Colliton has rotated Subban, Delia and Lankinen during practices.

Crawford was 16-20-3 with a 2.77 goals-against average and .917 save percentage in 40 games (39 starts) before the season was paused March 12 due to concerns surrounding the coronavirus.

A pending unrestricted free agent who won the Stanley Cup with the Blackhawks in 2013 and 2015, Crawford was healthy this season after missing 80 games over the previous two seasons because of concussions.

Vegas Golden Knights

Marc-Andre Fleury practiced on Friday for the first time during training camp.

The goalie missed the team's first three practice sessions because of maintenance, and coach Pete DeBoer said Wednesday that there was "nothing to do with a positive [COVID-19] test or anything like that."

Fleury was an active participant in Phase 2 of the NHL Return to Play Plan during the past five weeks, when teams were allowed to practice in small groups. He went 27-16-5 with a 2.77 goals-against average and a .905 save percentage in 48 games this season, his worst numbers in three seasons with the Golden Knights.

Robin Lehner and Oscar Dansk are the other goalies on the Golden Knights' training camp roster.

The Golden Knights will play in the round-robin portion of the Qualifiers in the Western Conference against the St. Louis Blues, Colorado Avalanche and Dallas Stars to determine seeding for the playoffs. The Golden Knights play their first game of the round-robin against the Stars on Aug. 3. They play an exhibition game against the Arizona Coyotes on July 30.

Philadelphia Flyers

Shayne Gostisbehere is hoping to earn a top-six spot on defense with the Flyers.

Gostisbehere said Monday he had arthroscopic surgery on his right knee about seven weeks ago, which followed a similar procedure on his left knee Jan. 14. He played two games after the surgery on his left knee.

"He's in difficult situation," assistant coach Mike Yeo said. "It's been a difficult year for him between the injuries and the success of the team while he was out, which made it tough for him to get back in. He looks really good to me now. His competitive level is very, very high. ... He's obviously a guy that we're looking at very closely."

Gostisbehere scored 12 points (five goals, seven assists) and averaged 18:18 of ice time in 42 games this season.

The Flyers will play in the round-robin portion of the qualifiers along with the Boston Bruins, Tampa Bay Lightning and Washington Capitals to determine the seeding for the playoffs from the Eastern Conference. The Flyers first game is against the Boston Bruins on Aug. 2 in Toronto, the Eastern Conference hub city; they will play the Pittsburgh Penguins in an exhibition game on July 28.

"If you want to have any success in the playoffs, you need depth," Yeo said. "And whether it's injuries, whether it's adjustments, we're going to need a number of players ready to come in and contribute. I have a really good feeling [Gostisbehere] is going to be ready, he's going to be one of those guys.

"Obviously he wasn't a big part of that long run that we were going on in at the end (9-1-0 before the season was paused) but he could be a big part of a long run that we go on in the playoffs." -- Adam Kimelman

Nashville Predators

Forward Mikael Granlund has liked what he's seen playing on a line with Matt Duchene and Kyle Turris in training camp.

"I've been playing with those guys and think we're all very smart players," Granlund said on Friday. "We can make plays and do the right choices out there so hopefully we can keep doing that with the practice time we have to keep building, doing everything quicker and quicker, so that when the time comes everything feels automatic."

Duchene ranked third on the Predators with 42 points (13 goals, 29 assists) in 66 games; Turris had 31 points (nine goals, 22 assists) in 62 games; and Granlund had 30 points (17 goals, 13 assists) in 63 games

Nashville returned to practice at Bridgestone Arena on Friday following a day off Thursday. Coach John Hynes said he expects players to start ramping up their workouts and pace when scrimmages begin on Sunday.
