Andersen sustained a neck injury during the Maple Leafs' 5-3 loss to the Florida Panthers on Monday. The Maple Leafs recalled Kasimir Kaskisuo from Toronto of the American Hockey League to be Hutchinson's backup.
Hutchinson has won all four of his starts since Dec. 21 with a .948 save percentage (six goals on 116 shots).
Rookie goalie Igor Shesterkin will start for the Rangers after being scratched the past two games. He is 3-1-0 with a 2.51 goals-against average and .927 save percentage in four starts this season.
Forward Chris Kreider will be a game-time decision for the Rangers with an upper-body injury. Kreider didn't play in New York's 5-3 loss to the Dallas Stars on Monday.

Maple Leafs forward William Nylander has 10 points (six goals, four assists) in an eight-game point streak.
Rangers forward Kaapo Kakko had an assist Monday, his first point in 11 games. He could play on the top line against Toronto.

Spezza is expected to center the fourth line in place of Gauthier. … Zibanejad (illness), Fox (maintenance) and McKegg (maintenance) didn't practice Tuesday but are expected to play Wednesday. … Strome had been playing with Panarin and Fast, but Quinn said he could put Chytil in that spot against the Maple Leafs.
