Maple Leafs team scope

Goalie Jhonas Enroth will make his first start of the season for the Toronto Maple Leafs. "[Enroth] is a guy who's been good wherever he's been," coach Mike Babcock said. "Here's an opportunity for him here tonight." Starter Frederik Andersen, acquired in a trade with the Anaheim Ducks on June 20, has allowed 11 goals in three games, including five on 34 shots in a 5-4 overtime loss to the Winnipeg Jets on Wednesday. "I just think it's pretty apparent where he's given up goals and we'll just work on it," Babcock said. "You look at him at the end of the game but at the start of the game when they're outshooting us 6-0 and we could have been out of the game already, we weren't." The Maple Leafs did not skate Thursday.

Wild team scope

Minnesota Wild defenseman Mathew Dumba will be a healthy scratch. Coach Bruce Boudreau said the move is not a reflection of Dumba playing poorly but "maybe he has to do a little less. … Dumba is going to be a really good player. He is a good player right now. He's trying to do too much right now. We just want him to calm it down and play his game." Defenseman Mike Reilly was recalled from Iowa of the American Hockey League on Wednesday and will take Dumba's place in the lineup. He had seven points in 29 games with Minnesota last season. "[I'm] just [going to] try to come in and play my game," Reilly said. "Obviously, [I] wasn't satisfied with the first effort and as a team, so just come in and try to do what I do best."
