Ruck twins Pirates game

The Ruck twins turned a double play on Wednesday.

Pittsburgh Penguins prospects Liam and Markus Ruck threw out the ceremonial first pitch before the Pittsburgh Pirates game against the Atlanta Braves at PNC Park.

The brothers rocked black custom Pirates jerseys and hats as they posed for a selfie on the field in a post on the Penguins X account.

They also posed for a picture with their fellow Penguins prospects who joined them on the field.

Pirates fans gave the Ruck brothers a warm ovation as they took the mound. Both prospects then wound up and threw their first pitches in sync, as twins do.

The Penguins drafted Liam in the first round (No. 22) and Markus in the second round (No. 39) of the 2026 NHL Draft in June.

They have been in Pittsburgh for the team’s development camp which ended on Friday, July 3.
