Celebrini Smith cupcake experience

Macklin Celebrini and Will Smith threw on aprons and whipped up a sweet bake off.

The San Jose Sharks forwards competed against each other in the “Elevated Cupcake Experience” benefiting the Sharks Foundation in a video posted by the team on Tuesday.

Last season, the experience was auctioned off during a team fundraiser and Sharks fans have been eagerly awaiting to see the two teammates face off.

In teams of four, Celebrini and Smith were tasked with creating a “signature” cupcake, choosing their own flavors, colors, filling, frosting, decorations and presentation.

The teams had one hour to create six different flavored cupcakes for the judges to taste.

Smith couldn’t help chirping his roommate’s cooking skills during the competition.

“I know Mack doesn’t do too much in the kitchen, so I’m not too worried about him,” Smith said in a clip. “His teammates do look like they know what’s going on, so I’m a little worried, but my team’s got it.”

Sharks announcer Brodie Brazil, veteran forward Tyler Toffoli and his wife, Cat, were the judges for the contest.

In another clip, Cat worried if Smith did not win the contest, he would be upset because “baking is his thing.”

In a shocking defeat, Celebrini’s team was crowned the 2026 Elevated Cupcake Experience Champion and presented with the Elevated Cupcake Cup.

Victory never tasted so good.
